Regular Cleaning

Cleaning solar panels is not cosmetic.  Dirt, leaves, bird droppings, and other grime diminish the capacity of the panel and reduce the amount of electricity or heat being generated.  Although the frequency of cleaning depends on your location, a good rule of thumb is twice a year in spring and fall.
